The National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) is closely monitoring recent reports of Filipino cruise ship workers being deported from U.S. ports, including Norfolk, Virginia, despite reportedly holding valid C1/D seafarer visas.

The Filipino-American communities throughout Texas are heart-broken for their friends and friends of friends who were affected by the deadly floods that ravaged houses and drowned families along the 100-mile long Guadalupe River in Central Texas. The Filipinos have arranged prayer vigils and fund-raisers for the victims. About 140 people, including 35 children died, and dozens still missing.

"Bomba House, The Musical," a free staged readingsis a new work that celebrates the gay Filipino experience in late ’90s San Francisco, blending freestyle, boy band, and OPM sounds into a heartfelt story of identity, resilience, and chosen family. Sentro Filipino doors will open on Saturday, July 19, for the 8-9 pm show; and on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 3-4PM. Venue is at 814 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA.
