Our Better Angels

With the holidays coming up, we'd like to do a little pivot from the misery and disaster of the past month to more joyful stuff. 

Which doesn't mean we'll ignore the continuing saga of the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. We won't do that because the Story is still unfolding and we have to remain generous and vigilant as Leyte, Samar and the other provinces that were devastated are slowly picking up the pieces of their shattered existence. 

Positively Filipino will continue to bring you solid reporting from the ground on the aftermath of the super storm, but with a little twist. Because amidst the sadness, there are also stories of inspiration and redemption, of extraordinary generosity and gratitude, of happy endings. Stories that make this holiday season all the more meaningful because they remind us all of the moral heights we can reach when we let out our better angels.
