[PARTNER] COVID-19 Protocols at the Consulate General

With new cases of COVID-191 being added to the U.S. cases and to protect the health and safety of the public availing themselves of services at the Consulate General, the following measures are employed at the Consulate:

1. Walk-in Applicants will no longer be allowed entry into the Consulate, unless they have a pressing emergency. Beginning March 11 (Wednesday) Consular services will be provided to the public only to those with Appointments for the following transactions:

a.   Legal documents, e.g., Acknowledgment for Special Power of Attorney, Certifications, etc.

b.   Visa application

c.   Civil Registry

d.   Dual Citizenship

e.   Passport and Travel Documents

Out-of-State applicants for Dual Citizenship and other services are now required to schedule an appointment. Please check the next advisory for the appointment links.

2. Persons who have fever (100.4F temperature) or are feeling feverish (above 98.6F) are advised to postpone their transaction at the Consulate until they have become better and have contacted a healthcare professional. Thermal scanning will soon be available.

3. Those who exhibit flu-like symptoms, such as sore throat, cold, cough, shortness of breath), will no longer be allowed entry into the Consulate. The public is advised to call a healthcare professional if they develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness.

4. Those who had close contacts with persons with COVID-19 or with travelers returning from affected international locations with reported community spread are advised against visiting the Consulate. Please call a healthcare provider for medical advice, or be on self-quarantine.

5. Maintain proper hygiene at all times. The Consulate General has provided hand sanitizing stations in its premises to help stop the spread of germs and prevent the spread of respiratory diseases like COVID-19.
