Asia Society named Goldman Sachs and KPMG the best corporate employers of “Asian Pacific American talent” and for being at the forefront of promoting global diversity, reports Inquirer.net. This year’s winners were selected based on the quality of their APA programs as well as the results from their employee surveys, which made up Asia Society’s “2014 Asian Pacific Americans Corporate Survey.”
The ambassador of New Zealand to the Philippines assured that employment opportunities for overseas Filipino workers in their country will continue, reports ABS-CBN News. "The reality is we are a growing economy that needs immigration. We need people to come in to fill jobs," said New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines Reuben Levermore.
At least 13 Filipinos were arrested and convicted for carrying stun guns in Hong Kong in the first quarter of 2014, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Wednesday. The DFA said this has prompted the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong to start an information campaign reminding Filipinos not to bring or carry stun devices there reports GMA News.
