Number of HIV-Infected OFWs Hit 4,000 Mark, Says Labor Union
/The number of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) is expected to top the 4,000-mark this year, the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) said. In a statement, TUCP president and former senator Ernesto Herrera said urgent action is needed to prevent the increase of HIV-infected OFWs, reports ABS CBN News.
