“Sagrada Familia” Photo Exhibit Opening by Fil-Am Photographer Natalie Schrik

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco invites you to the opening reception for Sagrada Familia (“Sacred Family”), a photography exhibit by Bay Area-based Filipino American photographer Natalie Schrik, on 6 September 2023 (Wednesday), 5:00 p.m. onwards, at the Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center, 447 Sutter Street, San Francisco 94108.

In her very first photo exhibit at the Philippine Center, Ms. Schrik will share her collection of intimate portraits depicting the rustic beauty and charms of Sagrada—her mother’s hometown in Camarines Sur, Philippines—and its people.

The photo exhibit will run at the Philippine Center’s Kalayaan Hall until 28 September 2023.


ABOUT THE FEATURED ARTIST

Natalie Schrik is a Filipina American Bay Area portrait and narrative photographer.

Born and raised in Poway, California (San Diego), Natalie has traveled to the Philippines consistently over the past 40 years. She has a degree in Photojournalism and Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University. She has been an artist in residence at Flax Oakland.

Natalie runs her photography studio at 1137 Galleries in East Oakland, where she does portraits and headshots. She is a staff photographer at Drew Altizer Photography, the Bay Area's premier event photography agency, and has been published in several local and national publications including San Francisco Chronicle, JWeekly, Marin Living, Nob Hill Gazette, New York Times and Vogue.com.

She lives in Oakland, California.
