Dear Supporter,
Right now, in the heavily affected northern Cebu region of the Central Philippines, displaced children and families are navigating loss of family members, damaged homes, fear of aftershocks, uncertainty, and hunger - the aftermath of a deadly magnitude 6.9 earthquake on September 30 evening. Estimated 209,972 families were affected; 26,140 families displaced; 71 confirmed fatalities and more are missing.
US-Philippines Society members and partners including the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation are monitoring needs and coordinating distribution on the ground, making sure families in remote areas receive assistance.
Your financial support will provide emergency aid, clean water, school supplies, classroom repairs, medical aid - essential tools to regain nourishment, shelter, and education after a disaster. In Medellin, Cebu, some residents who were displaced by Super Typhoon Haiyan in 2013 have shown resilience but need our help today.
