Who:            ABS-CBN International The Filipino Channel (TFC).

What:            1st TIKIM Filipino Food Fun Run

Where:            Coyote Point Recreation Area, 1701 Coyote Point Dr in San Mateo; Food Festival is at the park’s Duck Pond Area and picnic sites 5-8

When:            May 13, 2018, Sunday; Run starts at 8:00AM; Food Festival starts at 10:00AM

Why: The purpose of TIKIM (which means, “to taste”) is to celebrate on Mother’s Day everything about family, fitness, fun and Filipino food flavors! Open to all ages, gender and races, ABS-CBN TFC wants to bring to the San Francisco Bay Area the excitement that Filipino cuisine – traditional or fusion - is generating the world over. With Filipino taste stations at every kilometer of this 5k fun run and a food festival and entertainment past the finish line, there is a lot to savor for every member of the family. But a very important thing is that by registering and joining the fun run, each participant would have provided meals for 10 malnourished children in the Philippines. Every month, ABS-CBN Foundation International’s Bantay Bata (Child Watch) program feeds 300 children with one nutritious meal a day during school time. By the end of the 4-month program within a school year, the Foundation makes sure that the nutritional requirements of these children are met.
