Japan Eases Visa Restrictions for Filipinos

Japan has started its “substantial relaxation’’ of visa requirements for nationals from the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam to lure more tourists into the East Asian country, reports Inquirer.net. In addition to the relaxation of visa issuance requirements, the period of validity will be extended for up to five years.

Filipino golfer Princess Superal caused panic among Asian Games organizers when she was mistaken for a real royal, reports ABS-CBN News/Philippine Star. Philippines chef de mission Ricardo Garcia received an unexpected courtesy call from an Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC) official who apologized for what he thought was a diplomatic lapse.

 

PAL Will Fly to New York Starting 2015

Philippine Airlines will start flying to New York City in March next year, as it expands its network to the US East Coast, reports ABS-CBN News. PAL will fly the Manila-Vancouver-New York route four times a week.
