The Philippine women’s football team finally got the crowning glory that has eluded them since pulling off many firsts. The Filipinas captured gold in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games with a heart-stopping 6-5 victory on penalties following a scoreless tie at the end of full time and two extra periods (See Inquirer.net for story).
