Fil-Am Pleads Not Guilty In Terror Case

Ralph Deleon, a 23-year-old permanent resident from Ontario, California accused of plotting to join Al-Qaeda for military training in Afghanistan, pleaded not guilty on December 19 to charges of conspiracy to support terrorists, reports Inquirer.net. DeLeon is one of four men accused of planning “violent jihad” against U.S. armed forces and other Americans abroad, in a criminal case based on intelligence gathered from a paid FBI informant. Pomona resident Sohiel Omar Kabir, the group’s alleged ringleader was captured in Afghanistan on November 17, a day after the three other men were arrested by federal agents in Chino, California.
