The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco shares with the Filipino Community that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), under its Youth Leaders in the Diaspora (YouLeaD) Program, has opened the call for participants in the 2025 YouLeaD Summer Program with the theme “Celebrating Filipino Culture and Community,” to be held in the Philippines in June 2025.

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Manila, and the 30th Anniversary of the founding of Memorare Manila 1945. Our organization was formed with the objective of commemorating and honoring the memory of the more than 100,000 innocent, non-combatant Manilenos who perished during the Battle of Manila. The memorial also serves as the resting place of all the unknown buried in mass graves, or who never knew a grave at all.
