UC Berkley is hosting a book talk with journalist Patricia Evangelista on November 17, Saturday, 6pm at the Morrison Library. Join Evangelista and Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies faculty member Lisandro Claudio to learn more about Evangelista’s experiences reporting and writing this book, which the New Yorker’s David Remnick acclaimed as a “journalistic masterpiece,” and author Andrew Solomon noted, “reveals the nature of unbridled cruelty with an insightfulness that I have not encountered since the work of Hannah Arendt.” Details here
