The province's first Filipino concept park opened Sunday in south Edmonton. Mabuhay Park in Laurel incorporates Filipino heritage, culture, traditions and values. In Tagalog, Mabuhay means "welcome" and "long live," and organizers hope it's a word that resonates with visitors (See CTV News for story). 

Minimum Wage Hike in Taiwan to Benefit 124,000 Filipino Workers There

Starting January 1, 2024, the minimum wage for all workers in Taiwan will be increased by 4.05 % or worth NT$1,070 (P1,900). There are 124,265 Filipino factory workers in Taiwan and they will also benefit from the wage adjustment (See Business Mirror for story).
