A Hague-based Filipina engineer’s interpretation of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring” is one of the 170 artworks selected for exhibition, among 3,500 entrants, by the Mauritshuis Museum until June 4, 2023. Maria Glensie Hombrebueno, 32, an engineer from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, migrated to the Netherlands in 2019 (See PhilippineCanadianNews.com for story).

Four superstar Filipino Americans football players signed rookie contracts: Zaire Barnes was drafted by the New York Jets, Andrei Iosivas was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals, and both Nikko Remigio and Anthony Witherstone Jr. will be joining defending Super Bowl champs Kansas City Chiefs (See Kollective Hustle for story).
