A Saudi diplomat allegedly paid a domestic worker in London just 63p an hour and made her “wear a buzzer around her neck”, an employment tribunal has heard. The Filipino worker, referred to as JW, claims she was made to eat the leftovers of Khalid Basfar’s family and even had to wear a buzzer so she could be “on call” 24 hours a day (See story in Wn.com).

President Rodrigo Duterte’ children on Friday took their oath of office with other newly-elected officials. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, the president’s eldest son, will represent the first district of Davao City to the House of Representatives. Sara Duterte-Carpio has been re-elected as Davao City mayor while their youngest sibling, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte will serve as her vice mayor. Baste ran unopposed while Paolo and Sara won a landslide victory at the May 2019 elections ( See Yahoo News for story).
