March Was Record Month in PH in Rise of New HIV Cases

March was a record month in reported new cases of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) with 968, the highest number recorded in a month since 1984, according to the Department of Health (DOH). Based on the HIV/AIDS Registry of the Philippines, the latest figure was 32-percent higher compared to the same period last year which had 735 cases, reports Inquirer.net.
