Online PH Voting Now Available for Filipinos in the Americas

Filipinos age 18 and up who will be in the Americas from April 9 to May 9, 2016 may now avail of the iRehistro program, a system allowing overseas Filipinos to register and vote in the 2016 presidential election online, reports GMA News.
 

Remittances to PH Have Grown Fastest Since 2009

Cash sent home by migrant workers in March grew at its fastest pace since 2009, beating analysts’ projections and recovering from slowdowns. Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) showed remittances from overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) breached the $2-billion mark last March, matching levels previously seen only in the second half of the year, reports Inquirer.net.

PH Aims to Bring Down Poverty to 18% by 2016
