Manny Pacquiao is dealing with the cramps as he trains for his fight with  Floyd Mayweather on May 2. It's an issue that has popped up in some of his previous fights, reports CBS Sports. Trainer Freddie Roach and Pacquiao are exploring all possible avenues, including using an anti-inflammatory cream, which the USADA cleared for usage, on Pacquiao's calves. The cream cost $1,800.

2 Filipinos to Graduate from US Coast Guard Academy

Two Filipinos will be among the cadets graduating from the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut this May, reports GMA News. The Philippine Coast Guard said it sponsored the two cadets—Niño Jhanus Aniban from Bantayan, Cebu and Sean Jayner Cabral from Calaca, Batangas—and sent them as international cadets to join  USCGA Class of 2015.

Police Insp. Sofia Loren Deliu, a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Mandilaab class of 2014, is included on the official list of candidates for Miss Philippines Earth this year. Filipino-Romanian Deliu has confirmed to INQUIRER.net that she is joining the beauty pageant after PO2 Neil Perez bagged the Mister International title in a competition in Seoul, South Korea, in February.

Jordan's 12K Undocumented Filipinos Have 2 Months to Correct Status

Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz is urging the over 12,000 Filipinos who are illegally staying in Jordan to take advantage of the the 60-day amnesty period approved by the Jordan Ministry of Labor to correct their status, reports GMA News. Baldoz said concerned Filipino workers may legalize their stay by visiting the nearest Labor Directorates of the Ministry of Labor.




 

Filipino Graduates from South Korea's Air Force Academy

Second Lt. Rex Eduard Custorio became the first Filipino to graduate from Republic of Korea’s Air Force Academy in Cheongju, Chungbuk, South Korea. He entered the Philippine Military Academy in 2010, but that same year, the PMA sent him to continue his studies in South Korea as the first Filipino to study at the Air Force Academy, reports ABS-CBN News.

Facebook Launches Internet.org in PH

Filipinos with a Smart SIM card-powered smartphone may now browse 24 websites, including INQUIRER.net, free of data charges. This as Smart Communications, through Talk ‘N Text (TNT), launched a partnership with Facebook in a bid to bring free information to all Filipinos via Internet.org. Internet.org is a Facebook-led initiative which aims to provide internet connectivity to two-thirds of the world that remains “disconnected.”
