Police officers in Ampelokipoi of Athens were astounded when a Filipina mother abandoned her kids, ages 9 to 13, reports Tsismosaonline. The Filipina stopped her car at front of the door of the Police Department of Ambelokipoi and left four boys before disappearing.

Filipinos in Rome may now avail of legal counseling services from the Philippine Embassy there, reports GMA News. The Department of Foreign Affairs said the embassy formalized agreements with two Italian law offices that will provide the free legal aid on the embassy premises that started Monday, Oct. 28.

Earnings of the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector are expected to overtake the amount of money sent home by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the next five years, reports Interaksyon.com. BPO revenues are around $16 billion dollars while remittances are about $24 billion, but eventually BPO revenues will overtake remittances, according to the Monetary Board.
